A long time ago a witch was walled away in a prison and forgotten, trapped there forever by the rites of the village priests. She's still there, in some form in that lonely place, wasted away to an echo. The cat can come and go as he pleases -- In the night he ventures out and returns to share the local gossip, and in return she tells him where to find the mice in the walls.

Finished it barely an hour ago and already I don't care for it >:\ Ah well. The portfolio is hungry!

Photoshop 7 and the better part of the evening. Would'a been faster if I didn't keep letting intimidation draw me to Facebook breaks.

I like your choice in highlight and midtone colors. I like the way the colors pop.

Ooo, atmosphere is eerie!! Job well done. The wrinkles in the shirt are awesome T_T Shading at the clavicle area is pretty sweet too haha. Good job man!

Just a suggestion, have you tried blending your paintings a bit more instead of it having a cell-shaded feel? I think you'd get great results!!

You're very probably right -- I need to move this to scraps; I feel like it's only half-finished still. The only reason I called it complete to begin with was that I had to send it as part of my portfolio that night ^^;

I have a cat named Graymalkin :) The witch and cat came up great, just the background that needed a bit more work I think. What could possibly intimidate you? :)

Apparently backgrounds can ^^' Also... Well, it's simpler to just say that I need to add this one back into my to-do list. I was fairly happy with it when I uploaded it, but now it just looks seriously flat and half-finished to me.

One of these days I'll post something, go away, come back the next day, and still like it. That'll be a good day!
