At the place I work for, Powerhouse Animation Studios, we have a weekly Luck of the Draw contest wherein each week we have to produce artwork centered around a given theme. For the past months now it's been caricatures of all the people around the office ( myself included :D ), but this past week we switched over to a new format of randomly-selected themes. This week was mythological creatures in mundane settings.

I think my inspiration came just from so desperately wanting some warmth. Lousy power bills and their steep heating costs.

Painted in Photoshop 7; total time around 4 ~ 4.5 hours.
